Private Lesson Reimbursement Grants
For Band and Choir Students

Reimbursement Grant Form

The GLMBA is chartered to promote, stimulate, and support interest in instrumental and vocal music education. One of the ways we do this is to reimburse $5 for one weekly private lesson, given during the school year, to a middle or high school student during any 3 consecutive years or a portion thereof. The school year is defined as starting with the first day of school in September through May of the following year.

GLMBA will reimburse for "prepared" lessons as long as funds are available. An unprepared lesson is a waste of your instructor’s time and no reimbursement will be given.

Reimbursement grant forms must be submitted to your music director within 2 weeks of the ending date of first and second trimester, and at the end of May for the third trimester for lessons received during that trimester.

Completed forms are to be submitted to your music director. Lessons eligible for reimbursement must relate to the course in which the student is enrolled, to the student's instrument (if applicable), and must be approved by the director. Only one lesson per week is eligible for reimbursement. Reimbursements will not be given for lessons received in previous trimesters.

Choir students may be reimbursed a portion of the cost of piano lessons or voice lessons.

Reimbursement checks are mailed to the address you designate on the grant form.

A student does not need to be participating in the GLMBA Private Lesson Program to be eligible for reimbursement.
